Danau Toba or Toba Lake is a big lake located in North Sumatra. It is the biggest lake in South East Asia and it is bigger than Singapore.

Toba Lake was formed after the eruption of a volcano about 75,000 years ago. In the middle of Toba Lake there is an island called Samosir Island. Toba Lake and Samosir Island is very well known as a beautiful natural resort. There are many hotels on the shores of Toba Lake. There are also many kiosks around Toba Lake where you can buy many kinds of souvenirs.
